Using the YouTube tag 101

In order to post videos from YouTube onto this forum, you can't simply copy and paste the video's URL in between the tags. You'll need to copy a certain part of the URL and ONLY that certain part. Here are some examples...

URL:

What's needed:

r6XjJc4pbQs

Your tag should look like:

[YouTube]r6XjJc4pbQs[/YouTube]

Sometimes YouTube will throw you a curve ball if you're trying to share a video being played from a playlist...

URL:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6XjJc4pbQs&list=PLP7VwgOmE990uhbVvXpHATvc4t2UbxnJr

Your tag should STILL look like:

[YouTube]r6XjJc4pbQs[/YouTube]

One word of advice I can give is pay close attention to the URL, it begins to break itself down...
"watch?v=r6XjJc4pbQs"
That part is basically saying, "This user wants to watch this video which is located at r6XjJc4pbQs"

Looking at the Playlists URL, you can pretty much see the same thing going on...
"watch?v=r6XjJc4pbQs&list=PLP7VwgOmE990uhbVvXpHATvc4t2UbxnJr"
THAT one's saying, "This user wants to watch this video which is located at r6XjJc4pbQs and is a Playlist located at P7VwgOmE990uhbVvXpHATvc4t2UbxnJr"

So to sum, the part of the URL we want will always be letters and numbers that come after "watch?v=" and before a symbol (if any).
